Foundation Mi Casa en Ipauratu is a non-profit organisation that offers aid to residents in the Colombian villages Paluato, Guaimaral and Galapa. We focus on improving the living conditions of disadvantaged families and individuals, many of whom live below the poverty line. This means they do not have sufficient resources to provide for themselves. Education and entertainment help to ensure a better future for the people in the community.
Our vision
Our vision is that education is the first step to a better life. We offer schooling and other forms of education at several locations in the villages of Palauto, Guimaral and Galapa.
Alongside the education projects that we offer we also want to make a positive contribution to the lives of poor people in this community. We do this by providing short-term necessities. In the long term, we ensure that people can provide their own livelihood. This objective is achieved by:
- Providing basic services such as food, medical care and education
- Supporting local initiatives by providing financial resources or goods
- Job creation
- Creating awareness and generating support in and outside Colombia
